A Monochrome Makeover
Thought our Scandi collection couldn’t get any cooler? Well think again, because the latest drop in our homeware trend serves up a monochrome colour palette with geometric prints and a slick of marble. That’s right, Scandi just reached new levels of cool. Scatter our Scandinavian inspired accessories throughout your halls room interior or dress up that desk with a lick of copper, it’s time for a monochrome makeover…
Tassel mat €7, oh hey cushion €8
We’re obsessed with this minimal interior at Primark HQ (our wardrobes do typically boast fifty shades of black…), but this trend is all about transitioning that monochrome magic from our clothing rails to our bedroom walls. A monochrome canvas allows for bright and bold accents to add an edge to any space, like this ochre tasselled mat at only €7, or copper candles at €3!
Since an actual Frenchie probably won’t go unnoticed in our uni room, we’re finding a way to squeeze our fave dog in… with comfy cushions obviously. But the tricks don’t stop there, our printed storage options will help keep the tidy illusion going (you’ll be grateful when mum comes to visit!).
2pk geo printed basket €12, marble printed pop up bin €5
Oh hey cushion €8
The key shout out for this trend is undoubtedly marble prints. Clashed against this geo bedding, the versatility of monochrome interiors is clear; patterns and prints easily and effectively shake up a simple colour palette. As always, our top interior tip sneaks in once again – a monochrome decorated bedroom allows for a frequent refresh of accessories that will always suit the surroundings, so you can update your decor on the regular with a few additions of candles, cushions and throws for the lie-in lovers (snooze button anyone?)
Let’s not forget the amazing gadgets we’re serving up these days, from essential items for serious study to revision-free relaxing time. Headphones are every student’s best friend and the perfect tool for zoning out of school work and into procrastinating on Youtube. From monochrome-toned power banks to stop that phone dying in desperate times (Snapchatting your working lunch obviously), to turquoise Bluetooth speakers for blasting after-school jams, even your tech toolkit will suit your space!
Marble cushion €10, 'stuff' notebook €3, speech bubble pen and light box €15
Key lessons learnt: monochrome is always in style, marble is our new favourite print this season, and if dressing your dorm is an activity you’re looking forward to, then step right up – Primark is ready to kit you out, Scandi style.
