Holiday on the horizon? JEALOUS.
As summer is due to bid us farewell, we’re craving one last hoorah. One final jaunt to sunnier climes, where the air smells sweet and the sand is soft. For most of us, we’ll dream of this through a laptop screensaver while Sharon from accounts asks if that invoice is ready. But should luck be in your favour, and you are heading to pastures new for a few more moments of searing summer sun, you’d better be prepped for it. This cheeky stash of travel accessories will keep organisation on point, so 100% of your time can be spent sending smug snapchats to the rest of us – JEL.
So What. To. Pack. WELL - Two words that instil the darkest fear in us when packing for a holiday with the squad: lost luggage. What use is an emptied camera roll ready to stack up on last-minute vacay shots if all your OOTD’s are lurking back at the airport? There’s a limit to how many times we can reverse those socks guys and gals... Luggage tags and padlocks are a fashionista’s best friend to help your getaway glad rags stay with you.
Passport cover €2.50, luggage tag €2, eye mask €2.50, padlock €1.50
Sure, you lived away from home at uni and survived as a fully functioning human for three years, but will that stop the pre-holiday checklist text from ol’ mummykins? Do not act smug when replying that you’ve packed everything, because passports are sneaky little fellows and could have escaped your carry-on. To avoid that checking-in horror (‘I’m sure it’s in here somewhere’), do us a favour and invest in a passport holder. At only €2, it’s a small price to keep those stress levels down. Oh, and if it happens to look fabulous in an Insta shot with your soya flat white, even better.
Once you’re sitting comfortably on the flight to anywhere-but-home, slip into your sleeping mask, and turn that mental out-of-office ON. You’ve got some holiday boasting to do; think of us while you bask in those sunshine rays, k?
