Primark x Mutiny Kids: Squad Goals!
It’s a hard job test-driving our on-point workout gear, but someone’s got to do it! For the launch of our kids’ active collection, we arranged the play date of the year, in collaboration with super cool mag: Mutiny Kids. Industry mummas, including blogger, Samantha Mumba, got their little ‘uns in formation for a day of high-energy fun. Want the deets? Of course you do!
Our little athletes’ attire wins gold in the bold and bright category. Expect style stamina for days, thanks to our focus on athleisure, which makes mini-me dressing easier than ever (twining is winning, after all). Your babes will be sprinting to the finish line in garms fit for fashion and function; oversized slogan hoodies, sporty gym leggings, and vibrant trainers that make them run ‘really, really fast’ (the kiddie’s words, not ours!). Your little one will be strides ahead of the competition, as Mutiny cofounder and fashion commentator, Sooby Lynch, notes:
“This collection is fab! I love the monochrome with the hint of bright colours throughout. There’s a great street vibe throughout the collection, while also being practical for getting outside and playing”
What better way to give the new collection a real workout than by kitting out 11 excitable cherubs head-to-toe and giving them free reign with footballs and hula hoops?! Claphandies, the musical exercise maestros (and profesh kid exhausters) assembled our little squad, and throwing shapes became a legit sport, with adjudicators at the ready to judge how the garms held-up under a serious amount of energy! As the half-time whistle blew on the mini-marathon goers, mums gave the 411 on the full collection. Sooby’s partner-in-crime, Lili Forberg, summed it up perfectly:
‘It’s urban and cool and perfect for twinning as I’d wear it too. I love the way you can mix and match them!
Q&A with Mutiny Kids
1. What are your favourite pieces from the range?
Without a doubt, the ‘girl squad’ bomber jacket. I also love the hoodie with ‘believe’ on it. It works great for layering through spring, and kid’s clothes with positive messages on is always excellent to see. I’m always after comfy clothes for Leon which also look cool and suit his style - this collection does exactly that!
2. Will you be twinning with your little one this season?
Oh, absolutely! I’m loving the trainers in both the kids' and adult’s sections in Primark this season. We’ll be mixing and matching in our activewear with a bit of twinning for sure.
3. What was your highlight of the day?
The activewear party at Primark HQ couldn't have been more fun. It was so much fun hanging out with our lovely Insta friends and seeing our kids hang out too. I loved going online and seeing everyone else's highlights all over social media after the event too.
The little ones will be taking home the medal for 'most stylish kiddie', this season, with prices that are gold star-worthy in the affordability ranks (seriously, from €5!). In the meantime, check out the hashtag #PrimarkxMutinykids for an action replay.
