Refresh Your Look With Spring 16
Fast track your style into the new year and update your wardrobe with our transitional trend
Our spring transitional trend entitled Undercurrent takes inspiration from the movement of water below the surface. Undercurrent’s foundations lie in the fusion of sports luxe with smart casual elements. There is a fresh and floaty feel with autumnal-look items that have been redesigned in lighter fabrications and brighter colours from beanies all the way through to parkas, creating an overall laidback look.

Aquatic hues form the basis of the collection from glacial off whites and pale blues, progressing through to azure shades and deep navy as the collection moves forward. This transition of colour is also seen in denim, which makes up a large part of the seasons approach, spanning from light, mid and dark washes in skinny and slim fits.

Within fabrics, focus falls on luscious liquid-looks such as the transparent hooded zip up that’s created in see-though nylon with a mesh underlay, creating for a peek-a-boo effect. Another way that the trend’s theme comes into play is through prints such as distorted water reflections and swimming pool tiles, which have been used across jumpers, t-shirts and shirts.
Cap €4, jumper €12, backpack €12
An easy way to opt into this look would be to think about light layering, starting with the men’s item of the moment; the flight jacket. This comes in a lightweight version that’s adaptable and trans-seasonal making it perfect for wearing with a casual open shirt, or a printed tee and paired with a pair of jeans from our diverse selection of denim. Complete the look by adding accessories to the outfit, which come in the form of backpacks and sports inspired trainers in neutral colours that are versatile and adaptable to suit a selection of ensembles.
