Luxe Tailoring Launch Event
Introducing our Italian and Donegal wool range
Last month we launched our exclusive and highly coveted premium suiting range and to mark the occasion we invited a few familiar faces in to give it a test drive.
In case you didn’t catch our full feature the range is made up of two capsule collections; Donegal Irish tweed and Italian wool suiting. The collection consists of navy and charcoal two and three piece suits composed of luxury heritage fabrics as well as tweed coats to complete the look. Tailored suits with beautiful linings and elegant clean finishes- wardrobe staples for every man. The Molloy family have been creating tweed inspired by their breath-taking Atlantic coastal surroundings since the 19th Century and their expertise and excellent craftsmanship means they are one of the few companies who can proudly claim to create authentic Donegal Tweed.
On Thursday 6th October, we invited bloggers and influencers from across the globe to an exclusive preview of the range with Irish TV and style connoisseur Darren Kennedy hosting the launch in the beautiful setting of the highly esteemed yet quirky Dean Hotel penthouse suite situated in the heart of Dublin’s city centre.
‘Dublin is the most charming city ever!! It was my first time and I’ll definitely come back. The hotel was beautiful and the little streets… the best scenario for our street style pictures!’- Jorge Redondo @sneakpeak
The day began with the exciting arrival of bloggers from across the globe; Romain Vallos, David Bellamy, Davide Blasigh, Lorenzo Liverani and Manu Ordovas- to name just a few. Starting with a tour of our Dublin Primark HQ and a chat with the design team to get a better insight into the fabulous collection. The bloggers then had some free time to roam the enchanting streets of Dublin and throw themselves into the history and legacy that inspired the capsule.
Moving on to the main event, the trendy setting of the Dean Hotel had the perfect vibe; relaxed, suave and sophisticated- nowhere could of encapsulated the collection better. For the total head to toe look, the gents were treated to a hot towel shave from the famous Grafton Barber before a private suit fitting with an Irish tailor- a truly authentic and unique experience.
‘The tailored heritage together with modern style makes this collection something very special and one that I am sure most men are missing from their wardrobes’- David Bellamy @bellamy_david
Once kitted out and looking as slick and stylish as can be, they sat down to the dining experience of dreams. Irish illustrator Conor Merriman curated the event through beautifully bespoke menus as well as the invitations and a map of the hosting city. And just to make it that little bit more Instagram worthy (if possible!) in came the food. It was an Irish extravaganza, with highlights including Irish crab or black pudding to start, rotisserie rib beef with crispy new potatoes for the main affair all followed by an incredible choice of raspberry roulade and crushed berries or sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel ice cream- hungry yet?
After dinner and over a few drinks the nattering’s of the collection started up again and the main talking point was the versatility of the suits. Sara Andrade from the GQ press team also attended; ‘It’s a modern touch on a traditional silhouette and I'd see a man wear it for work, but also for a night out’- we couldn’t agree more Sara! Discussing the highlights of the day’s events, Spanish native fashion blogger and journalist Jorge Redondo (creator of the uber chic blog; sneakpeak) and French stylist Romain Vallos began planning their next trip back to see the full delights of what Ireland has to offer.
The complete menswear capsule collection of Italian wool and Donegal tweed is in stores now with prices starting from €35. Unbeatable quality that dips into strong heritage and all at amazing prices, what are you waiting for?
