#PrimarkMeets Stacey Solomon
We took some time out to get to know the girl behind our new collection – Stacey Solomon. She’s the girl next door with a sparkling TV career, and show stopping personality to match, and our body positivity inspiration on the daily. Find out why Stacey was SO excited to collaborate with Primark, her secrets to self-confidence, and the key items she’ll be sporting all winter long.
What was it about collaborating with Primark that really got you excited?
I love Primark. It’s somewhere I’ve shopped since I can remember ,and I love what it stands for. Accessible fashion for everyone.
What are your favourite pieces from the collection?
Obviously I’m obsessed with it all! I picked each and every piece and I’m so proud of the entire collection. I can see myself living in the green puffer jacket though, it’s so bright and warm!
What is the one piece from your Primark range that every girl needs in their wardrobe this autumn/winter?
The jeans!! Everyone needs a good, sturdy, well cut pair of jeans and the ones in my collection are perfect. I love the slight crop and high waist.
Your collection is bold, bright and fun, does this reflect your personal style?
YES!!!! I love rainbows, glitter, and positivity so I tried to inject a little bit of that into the collection.
Black twist bodysuit €10
Mid wash jean €17
Which fashion trend will you be rocking all winter long?
Leopard prints in different colours... I love the fact that there’s a twist on the already wonderful animal print trend, and now the prints come in lots of amazing colours. I’ll be wearing them at every opportunity.
What is the one item in your wardrobe you can’t live without?
Knickers haha! Big, high-waisted, floral granny pants. I feel like I can do anything in my Bridget Jones pants.
You're often dressed up for tv appearances and work events – but how do you like to dress in your down time?
I like to pile on comfy clothes with all of the glitter and colour I can find. I have way too many rainbow tracksuits and bright jumpers.
Do you believe wearing certain clothes can improve your self-confidence?
I believe that self-confidence comes from within and we aren’t, or at least shouldn’t be, defined by what we wear. But I do feel that wearing bright colours and glittery outfits makes me feel like me, and its a display of what I like and what I’m drawn to.
