Primark’s commitment to zero discharge

21 August 2015

Primark is committed to eliminating certain chemicals from its supply chain by 2020, and as part of that commitment has become a member of the ZDHC Group. In line with the Joint Roadmap, Primark wants to help bring about systemic change across the industry, and achieve the goal of zero discharge via all pathways of release, including emissions and losses.

This pledge builds on the robust processes Primark already has in place to manage chemicals in its supply chain. It will work collaboratively through engagement with stakeholders to phase out identified chemicals and replace these with safer alternatives. It will also continue to work with other Joint Roadmap brands, suppliers, the chemical industry and NGOs to achieve this goal.
