Driving Home for Christmas!
Now the schools are closed and our desks tided, we’re getting ready to head home for the holidays. With presents wrapped and suitcases packed, it’s time to face the traffic, arguments and non-stop holiday music on the Christmas drive home! Got a long trek ahead? Don't panic! We know just what to pack, with the perfect accessories for your journey. So for travel hacks, our fave accessories and the best Christmas playlist to zone out to, keep reading!
Our number one car trip survival tip: the music. The DJ (yeah--that's you), can shift the mood from "meh" to "Woohoo!" just by hitting the "next" button. It’s a tough job peeps, but we’ve got your back. So which tunes should you be rockin'? Well, we’re all for the classics, so any Scrooges in your travel #squad will give it up when you blast Slade’s "Merry Christmas Everybody" (we can hear you singing it from here). You need Mariah for a crowd-pleaser ("All I Want For Christmas Is You", obvs), and toss in some WHAM! Laryngitis guaranteed.
Should the music not totally be your vibe (excuse you), then just chill: we have the chicest wintertime accessory that'll keep you zoned out of the festive fun and into your own playlist. These pebble headphones are seriously sweet, and a perfect Christmas pick for friends and fam. Bonus – $X is a small price to pay to survive the long trip with sibs (drown it out peeps, drown it out...)
So what else to stash in your car carry-on? The hot water bottle is one of the mini-miracles of car travel: fill it up pre-ride, then hop in the car and snuggle! That should keep you toasty for a few hours – by which time, neck pillow in place, you’ll be in the sweet dreamland. Grab a notebook for planning the Christmas dinner duty roster, and a camera for mandatory mug shots of your snoozing sis (evidence that will come in handy), and you’re good to go!
Now you’re all packed up, it’s time to get traveling! However long it takes to get to your friends and fam this season, the presents and memories will definitely be worth it. Sing it with us! Driving home for Christmas…
