They say you can tell a lot about a girl from her handbag, and we kinda agree: this one's wonderfully organized, totes trendy and jam-packed full of workout essentials. Okay, maybe there’s a little wishful thinking thrown in there, too – but with every new year comes a chance to start fresh and seriously shake things up. So let’s kick start 2017 with some serious attitude: say hello to your January survival kit, and everyday motivation! Gym tonight? Meet you there!
We’re firm believers in the checklist. House cleaning? Make a list. Weekly food shop? Make a list. Scheduling TV recordings? Make a list (no judgement here…) – let’s stick with what we know and plan it out.
Whether you’re hitting up the gym or HIT-ing it in your backyard, feeling fresh is always a priority. You never know when a social situation will crop up – and we refuse to turn down a girls' night out. When heading to the gym, we pack our bags with all the freshening pick-me-ups: cleansing wipes, deodorant and essential makeup. A little touch up and you’ll be feeling like a super chick: hello, a killer workout and killer cheekbones? Winning.
What good’s a workout without Snapchatting it? (No, we're kidding – please don’t be that person). Although your Snap fam may not see your workout OOTD, gym buddies and dog-walkers certainly will. So let’s give them one worth noticing! Our latest workout line is seriously sweet (see evidence here) – we’re wearing our leggings off the treadmill, they're that good! In a stunning palette of nude, black and rose gold – NEED WE SAY MORE? – our gym threads are as hot as our post-spin class forehead (mmm, delicious).
You’ve been reading this for a solid 40 seconds – that totes justifies a snack break, right? Cue the inspo you’ve been waiting for to satisfy those hunger pangs. You shouldn't have to face the fury of the treadmill on an empty stomach – and we refuse to be held responsible for hunger breakdowns. If your phone dies and you still haven't snacked, someone’s taking a Pilates ball to the head… Hit up our yummy healthy snack picks, from Nakd bars to the humble banana: a little sugar pick-me-up is an after-workout must – so stock up and snack out!
Last up in our survival kit: a little more motivation… Our "fitspiration" seriously varies, from a poster of our ultimate girl crush to aiming to run 3 miles without stopping (*gasp*), by the end of the month. To keep our muscles moving and feel the burn, we’re obsessed with DVDs. Taking 10 (or 3!) minutes out of our day for a quick workout brings us one step closer to our #goals (now to figure out how to get Blake Lively’s face…)
Thirsty work, right? We know it’s the January drill to feel unstoppable – but this time we’re making it last. Our gym bags are packed, our wardrobes refreshed, our taste buds satisfied and our mindset in gear. 2017, we have all the motivation we need to make this year the fittest and most fun yet! Now where’s the pizza…
