New Year, Same You?

There’s no greater feat than climbing out of bed in the morning. Whatever the day of the week, finding the inner strength to leave your comfort cocoon and brave the great (and cold!) outdoors has us wishing for the evening to come back before the day's even started. But with that "new year, new me" thing on a loop in our fuzzy winter brains, we’re finding the motivation to kick-start – or continue – a fueled-up lifestyle. Grab your gym bag and your girl #squad: here’s how we're staying motivated in the new year!

REFRESH YOUR WARDROBE

What's the expression? "Summer bodies are made in winter"… Easier said than done, and while we sit around with memories of holiday buffets in our minds (and on our hips), that initial boost can be tough. So to get ourselves in gear and amp up the "sweatitude", our top hack for welcoming a workout is a wardrobe refresh. There’s nothing like that new gymwear feeling: whether it’s brand-new sneaks or a pretty yoga mat, trying out new buys is as fun in the gym as it is at the mall (we promise!) Psst! We have everything you need for a successful sesh in-store now!

KEEP IT FUN

As the workday grinds to a halt, it’s a struggle to reach for your gym bag. To avoid the call of the couch and stay active in 2017, we’re teaming up with our own workout partners (the girls) for group fitness. It's okay to hit up the treadmill just to catch up on gossip – as long as you’re sporting your workout gear, feel free to keep moving whatever muscles you want (mouth included). It’s all about feeling good – if sessions with the squad works, then hit them up!

TRACK YOUR SUCCESS

What good is pushing your limits without celebrating the successes? It’s so important to note any and every achievement right now, so you get pumped for the future. Marathon season on the horizon, and you haven't hit 3 miles? No sweat (ahem)! Push yourself 10 paces further every day and make a note. Biked to work today? Write it down! On those "slump" days, look back at how far you’ve already come to keep pushing on. When it comes to celebrating your successes, we fully condone "cheat treats". Peanut butter brownie just "fell" into your mouth? Accidents happen…

 

Our biggest mantra for the new year: Healthy body, healthy mind – working together to make 2017 the best year yet. Remember why you started in the first place, and maintain that mindset as the cold weather continues – and the sofa seduction gets serious. It’s all about having fun, feeling fresh and taking on the new year with major 'tude. January, come and get us!
