The Re:Mark, by Jayne Bibby
In a week dominated by crazy news, I thought it was a good time to think about a move of my own, to the East…of London!
I’m currently in the process of buying a new home – well, a new flat, to be exact. After spending eight years redecorating and renovating my current place, the thought of starting all over again is both challenging and exciting at the same time. And so off to east London I go…
Maybe I’ll go all out and toast midsummer with some Mexican Fiesta – those candles and cushions would look great on my new roof terrace!
Or maybe I’ll stick with my usual style, which is more edited, calm and timeless. I’m thinking gray and cream, with mustard as an accent color – thoughts? After seeing all the tangerine and vibrant yellows appearing on the men’s catwalks I’m feeling inspired to add the optimistic color in my own home. If you're redecorating, too, our ‘At Home’ Pinterest board is the perfect place to start.
Besides home improvements, I can’t wait to explore my new neighborhood and brunching is high on my to-do list. With the perfect little spot right at the end of my road, it doesn’t look like I’ll need to go far to enjoy this hipster community.
Checking out new local eateries and traveling are two of my favorite things in life. Our creative team recently headed to Cape Town for our Spring/Summer shoot, and in their downtime took a trip around the coastal city.
If South Africa's on your travel wish list, I definitely recommend spending 24 hours (at least) in Cape Town, not just for the breathtaking scenery, but also because it's where I was born! Biased? Who, me?
The team's just back from shooting our Fall/Winter campaign in New York. NYC's the heart of the brunching scene, so expect a roundup of our fave foodie destinations on-site soon, as we celebrate our favorite cities!
About to be head off on a travel adventure yourself? We have the perfect "Carry-On Essentials" advice coming soon – stay tuned!
For now, I think I’ll need a vacay after packing and unpacking all my boxes. Then again maybe I’ll just try a staycay – long weekends at home, shopping at the local food market and interior decor are all sounding really good just now...
