Get the pink party started!
It’s THE color of the season, here to hot up your home... Emily Murray from award-winning décor blog The Pink House explains why pink is perfect for that Ibiza vibe.
OK: I’ll admit to being just a teeny bit obsessed with pink – I have pink hair after all. And a blog called The Pink House. But I’m not being biased when I say my fave color is bang-on for your home this spring.
Not only is pink THE hottest hue in home décor right now (honest!), it’s also a bright, positive color that hints at vacay sunrises and sunsets to come... Our chilly legs might still be wrapped in opaques – but thanks to pink, we can heat things up at home faster than you can say "rose-colored glasses".
Soft, stylish lighting's key to getting the party started. Ibiza’s – the "White Isle" – isn't in full swing yet, but you can bring the Balearics to your bedroom, bath or backyard with just a few rosy candles – I’m loving this raspberry-and-vanilla one: not only is it super cute, but the scent will def get you in the vacay mood.
Spring's definitely the perfect time to rock a green vibe. And pink is green's BFF: nature’s color of the season. Meaning there’s no better time than now to stock up on potted plants and pair them with pops of pink (flamingos highly recommended).
What if (like me) you’re more pink- than green-fingered? Don't panic! You can still test-drive the tropical look: just invest in a few succulents. These cuties of the plant world are not only bang on-trend, but also pretty hard to kill (I’ve tried, and failed). Better yet, go faux with these fab fake plants!
Feel like a little laid-back beach boho? Then it’s time layer it on with patterned pink cushions, throws and fairy lights. Unicorns and disco balls optional, but highly recommended – this IS a party, right? Just hang a hammock (inside or out), put on some chill tunes and have your squad over for a lazy Sunday. Café del Mar, eat your heart out! Who needs the White Isle when you have pink!
