Decadence after dark
What to wear to where
Party season has officially begun, from office bashes to family gatherings or just drinks out with great friends. It’s all about upping your fashion game and stepping out in style. If you don’t know what to wear to where, we have something for every event.
The fact is party season usually turns up pieces long lost, forgotten or rarely seen in the average wardrobe. Bow ties, cummerbunds, wide-lapelled velvet smoking jackets and tuxes are either reserved for special occasions or have just become history. For most people they conjure up lavish images from a bygone era. A stroll to the opera in evening attire, top hat and cane, anyone? But you can still dazzle your coworkers by snazzing things up in a velvet tuxedo jacket. Dressed up or down with tailored dress pants and a shirt, or with dark wash slim fit jeans and a crisp white tee.
For business casual, go for a fine gauge knitted roll neck, a navy pea coat and indigo jeans with a slight cuff. A casual shirt with a Harrington jacket and jeans also looks great. Both are casually dressy looks that give a nod to the fab styles of the past: think modern British mod & beatnik.
To pull together a polished look, sometimes simplicity is key. So why not go for something you can wear throughout the season: an investment piece. If you’re thinking suits, we have the perfect one. Updated in skinny fits in a variety of shades, from burgundy and luscious blue to a dark green checked look. We give you several ways to look good and on-trend, and still be comfortable.
