Keep your hat on
Trend Report: Dressy Hats
Hats can instantly up an outfit's game - think a fedora with a T-shirt and pants - or dress it down, like pairing a sleek suit with a cap. Lately we've seen guys struttin' their stuff in the beanie trend, the bucket and the fitted/snapbacks. But now we're seeing dressier picks cropping up and taking over.
From boaters to bowlers, fedoras to trilbies, more formal hats have gone street. What once meant work or weddings is now casual-to-chill.
Hats don't have to be strictly utility: sure, the beanie's warm in winter and the snapback can block the sun -- but they're props, too, and are now worn (and working it) across the board. Now it's normal to see a snapback in winter and a beanie in the summer: that’s the way dressier picks are popping up. Once you get on board and comfy with the hat vibe, one won't be enough!
Sometimes brushed off as too street or hipster, more formal hats can come off as costume-y. But the past few seasons, some hot structured headwear has shown up on the catwalks and moved into high fashion. Since then, more and more men are daring to wear!

Dressy hats are a perfect prop to amp up a casual outfit: think a button-down long sleeve with a trilby, and some slim fit dark wash jeans. Finish it off with a nice pair of lace-up wingtips. For a sleeker look, try a roll neck with a fedora, slightly cropped pants and loafers.
