Pride 2018: Primark x Stonewall
For Pride 2018, we’ve teamed up with the LGBT charity Stonewall to create a capsule collection of Pride‐ready goodies. Our Pride 2018 collection has already dropped and is officially in stores! Conceived and developed in partnership with Stonewall, the collection's jam packed with Pride‐ready pieces. AND, 20% from all full price Stonewall-marked products will be donated directly to the charity – yep, you heard that right! Check out our Pride map for suppliers and info on where to snag your pieces.
The whole collection's loaded with rainbow colors and prints, trendy designs and key seasonal pieces. Best of all, 20% from all full price Stonewall‐marked products will be donated directly to the charity itself, with the proceeds going to support the community globally. In the spirit of sharing the love, we've captured behind-the-scenes footage of this very special project to bring you all the juicy deets. From research and development to the people behind the partnership, right through to the final reveal: we have your curiosity covered. So sit back, relax, and sneak a peek behind the rainbow‐striped curtain...

Meet the team
Glen Scott, Buyer
"Right from the start, authenticity has been key: we wanted to create a collection that's true to how people want to dress for Pride, but it also had to be practical (which is why there are so many great, functional accessories in the collection!). It had to be recognizable and proudly Pride – but it had to be cool and desirable, too."
"It's been amazing to see how passionate all the teams here at Primark are about Pride. They've worked closely with Nick and me to create a collection that not just works, but also checks off this season's must-have trends. The sequin hearts T-shirt is absolutely fantastic and a definite standout piece. One of my other faves is the glitter kit. Glitter beards and glitter hair parts are going to be everywhere this Pride season – and our little kit will make sure you look the part from head to toe!"
"I’ve been attending Pride events for nearly 20 years now, so it feels great to give back to a community that's always been there for me. This year, I’m also really looking forward to going to some of the smaller Pride events with Stonewall. It’s important to support the more local Prides to show there are LGBT communities everywhere, not just in the big cities! I can't wait to see the work Stonewall's doing for these communities, and to talk with LGBT people about their experiences and how Primark can continue to offer support through our Pride campaigns."
Nick Lambert, buyer
"Throughout the project, it's been absolutely essential to us that we connect good intentions with a meaningful way of giving back to the community – and that's where Stonewall came in. I'm so happy that 20% of the sales of all full priced Stonewall-marked products will be donated to Stonewall, so they can continue their incredible work in the UK and internationally."
"As Glen mentioned, we also wanted to make sure the collection was fun, practical, and relevant to our customers. We’ve been really lucky to feel the support of our fantastic buyers from across the business, and we're truly proud (no pun intended!) of the end result. My absolute fave piece is the heart-embroidered T-shirt: I love the subtle Pride nod and will be wearing it all summer – Pride event or not!"
"This year I'm planning to go to quite a few Prides. Madrid – my favorite Pride event – clashes with London, so I had to make the (very) hard decision to spend a weekend in Madrid! And like Glen, I'm really looking forward to visiting some of the smaller regional Pride events too."
