    Primark expands its partnership with Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children across Europe

    Primark is delighted to announce the expansion of its partnership with Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children across its growing network of over 60 stores in Germany, Austria, Holland, Belgium, Spain and Portugal. This builds upon Primark’s existing partnership with Newlife, which has been in operation across the UK since 2010 and ROI since 2011, and has resulted in more than €1 million in funding for Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.

    Primark announces further steps to deliver long term compensation

    Six months after the Rana Plaza building collapse in Bangladesh, Primark is announcing today that it will take further unilateral steps to deliver long-term compensation to victims, or their dependents, of the disaster.

    Second short-term financial payment received by workers and families of Rana Plaza

    Workers and families who registered for the short-term financial assistance provided by Primark have now received the second support payment, equivalent to a further three months’ salary. Payments were made to 3621 workers and their families via the bKash bank (a BRAC bank company). A further 18 workers who remain in hospital will also receive the payment.
