We’ve done something a little different this season: we've interviewed our summer cast on what "One Love" means to them. Meet Ashley, who has a genuine love for life and a positive attitude about sharing it. She reminds us to celebrate the plethora of people around us and their individual quirks.
Who was your first true love? I think a baby’s 1st love is always their mom. When was your first kiss? 6th Grade – we still laugh about it at class reunions. Who do you admire most in life & why? Anyone who questions the norm. What makes a person beautiful? Confidence. When you were growing up, who did you want to be? A basketball player – it didn’t work out. Can love cure all? It can cure a lot, but sometimes you need medicine. What does being comfortable in your own skin mean to you? Knowing how much power you have. Who are you? An empathetic being, and mostly a mom. What do you love most about yourself? My sense of humor. My love for my family. How do you express yourself? Decorating my apartment. What makes you, you? My life experiences, and remembering to evolve. What makes you feel connected to people? Honesty – breaking down barriers. Ashley's Quick Fire Questions: Anarchy or order? I love to invite all the kids in the neighborhood over and embrace the chaos. Make up or fresh faced? Fresh-faced! Especially in the summer when my freckles are out. Heels or sneakers? Sneakers – always chasing the kids. Day or night? DAY. Dressed up or dressed down? Both at the same time – sweatpants with sequins! What’s your favorite color? Mustard yellow. Fave word? The made up gibberish words I speak with my kids. Morning person or night owl? Morning person. Fave pizza topping? Cheese only! – I’m from NYC. Last book you read? “Becoming” by Michelle Obama. Last person you texted? My cute husband. Puppies or kittens? Can I say human babies? Biggest pet peeve? When people take themselves too seriously. What’s your life motto?
