Terms and Conditions – Pitch Perfect 2 Twitter Promotion

  • This promotion will be governed by these terms and conditions and entrants agree that they have read and understood these terms and conditions and will be bound by them.
  • This promotion is open to residents in the United Kingdom aged 16 or over except employees of Primark Stores Limited (the “Promoter”), their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
  • This promotion will run from 17.00pm on Monday 21st September 2015 until 12.00pm on Monday 28th September 2015.
  • Entry must be made by first following Primark’s channel on Twitter and then re-tweeting (“RT”) the Primark’s #PitchPerfect2 tweet from the official @Primark Twitter page in order to be entered into the prize draw. Primark’s #PitchPerfect2 tweet will go live at 17.00 on Monday 21st September] 2015. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer or by entrants using multiple Twitter accounts will be accepted. Incomplete or corrupted entries or those not in accordance with the entry instructions will not be accepted.
  • Entry into the draw will be deemed as acceptance of these terms & conditions and any separate instructions for entry will form part of the terms & conditions
    • Entrants who have correctly entered the promotion through RT of Primark’s #PitchPerfect2 tweet from the official @Primark Twitter page will be placed into a draw to win the following prize:

-        A recording session for the winner and 3 of their guests at a music studio in London.  The recording session will be for a maximum duration of 2.5 hours.  The winner and their guests may record one of their own songs or may pick a song from a list of pre-arranged backing tracks available at the recording facility.  The recording session will be filmed.  Vocals recording during the recording sessions will be mixed and edited by the recording facility staff at their discretion.  Video recorded during the recording session will be edited by the recording facility staff and a music video will be produced.  The music video will be copied to a DVD and sent to the winner by standard post within one week of the date of the recording session. 

-       Accommodation will be provided for the evening following the recording session at a 3* hotel in London (to be selected in the Promoter’s sole discretion) on a board and breakfast basis for the winner and their 3 guests.  Travel to and from an address nominated by the winner to the recording facility and the hotel will also be provided for the winner and their 3 guests. Travel shall be limited to rail travel within mainland UK and will exclude travel to and from Northern Ireland. 

-       The winner will also receive spending money for the trip in the amount of £200.  This amount will be transferred to a bank account nominated by the winner and following receipt of the relevant bank details. 

-       In addition, the winner will receive a Pitch Perfect 2 prize package containing a bomber jacket, headphones, a t-shirt, a selfie stock, buttons, Pitch Perfect 2 DVD and a CD of the Pitch Perfect 2 soundtrack.  The contents of the goody bag (including sizes of clothing) shall be at the discretion of the Promoter.  This prize package will be sent to the winner directly by standard post together with the DVD of the music video. 

  • 1 winner will be selected at random by the Promoter from all successful entrants to the promotion. 
  • The winner and/ or their guests availing of the prize must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/guardian at all times if aged under 16.  Parent or guardians are included in the total number of guests and the Promoter will not allow additional guests for this purpose. Where the winner and/ or their guests are under the age of 16 the consent of their parent or guardian to attending and take part in the recording session shall be obtained in advance.  
  • The winner shall provide the full names of all their guests who will avail of the prize to the Promoter on or before Monday 5th October 2015. The winner shall inform the Promoter of any changes to the notified guests at least 24 hours in advance of the recording session commencing.
  • Any costs incurred in addition to the elements listed above are at the winners’ and/or their guests’ own expense. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by or on behalf of the winners or their guests.
    • The winners will be randomly selected at 17.00 on Monday 28 September 2015 under independent supervision.
    • Winners will be notified that they have won a prize via direct Twitter message on or before Tuesday 29th September 2015. The winner must confirm to the Promoter by return direct Twitter message that they accept the prize within 48 hours of being notified that they have won. If the prize is unclaimed after this time it will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with the promotion rules.
    • The name and country of residence of the winner will be made available on request by the Promoter after Tuesday 29th September 2015 to those sending a stamped addressed envelope to Primark Stores Limited, 41 West Street, Reading, RG1 1TZ.
    • No cash or other alternative will be offered and the prize is non-transferable, but in the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
    • By accepting the prize, the winner grants the Promoter  the right to use and publish his/her name and picture in such media as the Promoter may choose (including but not limited to the internet) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration.
    • The Promoter reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this prize draw without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in any case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud).
    • The Promoter shall not be liable for any damage, loss, or consequential damage of any nature whether in contract, tort including negligence or otherwise, caused by acceptance of these Terms and Conditions or in connection with the prize.
    • The Promoter shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
    • The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • The Promoter reserves the right at any time to eliminate from the promotion any entrant that defrauds, disrupts or disables the functioning, the normal course and the regulation of the promotion.  
      • By entering this promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this promotion and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. The Data Controller is Primark Stores Limited, Weston Centre, 10 Grosvenor Street, London, W1K 4QY.
      • The prizes will be subject to any additional Terms and Conditions of the supplier of the prizes to the Promoter including any guidelines issued by each of the concert venues.
      • These terms & conditions shall be covered by English law and the courts of the England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
      • Twitter does not promote, guarantee or administrate in any manner this promotion, and it is not linked to the promotion, the information the entrant provides is for the Promoter only.
