Beauty Bag Secrets: Buyer's Picks
We wouldn't say we've saved the best until last, but we'd definitely agree the final instalment of Beauty Bag Secrets takes notes from the best qualified lippy-lover. Sarah is one of our very passionate beauty buyers, and she has kindly picked her top edit of cosmetics to help you make the right decision next time you're in store. Don't forget to take notes, Sarah is a professional after all!
Concealer brush £1, eyebrow pencil £1, blusher £2, glow stick £3, Foundation stick £2, lipstick £1.50, eyeliner £1, powder £2, sponge applicator £1.50
Sarah's everyday make-up selection is best summarised as simple but effective. She prefers a neutral, everyday look that can be pepped up with a coat of lipstick or eyeliner if an evening event springs up. Her palette is classic and refined, with rose tones and natural hues used to enhance her mid-toned complexion.
To begin, Sarah uses foundation to serve as a base and create a clean canvas. "Foundation is a must for me, and I love our foundation stick. It's so smooth, easy to blend, and provides great medium coverage. I use a concealer brush under my eyes and on any blemishes."
Oily skin? Not an issue. Sarah’s routine includes a mattifying powder to keep her shine-free and looking fresh. "I finish the look with a pressed powder to keep the foundation down as I tend to have oily skin."
The Delevingne effect continues to manifest itself, with the once overlooked and humble eyebrow remaining a focal point for beauty regimens everywhere. Sarah is one such brow enthusiast,
"I couldn’t go out without my brows! At just £1, our brow pencil is such great value, and it's amazing too!"
Sarah’s most coveted product is a touch of genius. You know that dewy glow the A-list rock? It can be yours! The Sunkissed Glow Stick is such a complexion perfection saviour.
"The Sunkissed highlighter is perfect day and night for a radiant look. I don’t know what I did without it!"
So, you’ve nailed the base, perfected the brow and you’re glowing like an angel-faced babe. To finish your neutral look, dabble in a little bit of blush, and you’re done!
"I finish my look with a dark pink blusher on the apples of my cheek and add a matching lippy."
Et voila! Why not recreate the look for yourself? Don't forget to post the results on Primania!
