SS17 Shimmer In 7 Easy Steps
A smoky eye is like your little black dress: universally flattering, a style saviour, and we find ourselves reaching for it EVERY season. For manic mornings when you require a refresh, this smoky eye look will be your BFF. We’re giving the old classic a new look, losing the festive sparkle and getting rid of the glitter (fi-nal-ly). The best news? This gorge look can be yours in 7 easy steps!
STEP 1: PREP AND PRIME
There is nothing worse than eyeshadow that smears, smudges and settles into creases. Use our PS… Pro Mattifying Primer to ensure your eyeshadow sits perfectly and stays put.
STEP 2: CONCEAL
Grab our PS Concealer Palette and apply under your eye. TOP TIP: with our PS PRO Kabuki Brush apply the translucent powder over the patch of concealer for a flawless finish. There we go girls, your base is set!
STEP 3: EYESHADOW
Our 9 Shade Eye Palette has every shade of smooth bronze for summer shine. The trick is to use lighter shades on the inner corners, and darker shades on the outer.
STEP 4: SMUDGE
One brush for a whole eye look? It’s no lie! Our double end smoky brush is all you need. This season we’re going for smooth soft finish. With gentle brush strokes use the larger side to blend the lighter and darker shades together and the smaller side to smudge the inner corner eyeshadow for eye widening effect.
STEP 5: DEFINE THE EYE
Now that the colour is in place, for added boldness define the eye with a stroke of black eyeliner along your bottom lash line.
STEP 6: LASHES
Lift your lashes with an eyelash curler and add a few strokes of our False Lash mascara. For extra oomph add our falsies for a dramatic glam look. No smoky eye is complete without some lush lashes!
STEP 7: HIGHLIGHT
We can’t forget about the season’s number one must-have: highlighter, highlighter, highlighter! Use our strobing crayons along your brow bone and inner corner of your eyes to emphasise and brighten.
With a look this versatile in your repertoire getting ready has just become a whole lot easier. But don’t restrict your creativity, experiment with colours too. If you’ve totes mastered the smoky eye skill already, why not go for a dramatic bold look with striking reds and oranges?
