An evening with Primark Home
There’s no greater way to spend an evening than sitting down with great friends, and talented professionals, for a good old chat over a delicious meal. So when our press team organised a dinner to celebrate Primark’s beaut homeware offerings, with interior experts and blogger pros, we were desperate for an invitation. With an empty stomach (and camera roll), we headed to Bistrotheque in East London, ready to satisfy our foodie cravings and Instagram feeds. A love for interiors brought us together, but flowing conversation made for a wonderful evening. Here’s a sneak peak at how Primark’s first homeware press event played out…
On a Thursday evening, Bistrotheque’s private dining space welcomed a cool crowd to a stunning set up and delicious drinks. The whitewashed walls of the edgy London eaterie were brought to life with the Art Deco feel of our homeware’s upcoming trend, Hazy Havana. Floral candles filled the room with a warming glow, creating a divine-smelling ambience only enhanced further by stunning bouquets courtesy of London’s premium florist, Orchidya. Soft furnishings, from cushions to throws, perfected the aesthetic of the room, while gold trinkets from the Hazy trend sprinkled a taste of luxury. Combined with a sip of Apple and Ginger Spritzer upon arrival to the event, we were feeling spoilt and seriously ready for a homeware-shopping trip.
As we pondered how to squeeze these irresistible items into our clutch bags without being spotted, we were called to our seats for dining to begin. Comfortably perched amongst friends and fashionistas, we chose from a menu fit for Queens. We started our banquet with a choice of ham hock terrine, aubergine warm salad, or cured trout, swiftly followed by succulent roast chicken, tomato tarte tatin or cod with romesco sauce. But the chocoholics amongst us were counting the moments until dessert was unveiled. Potted chocolate with salted caramel filled most plates, though the coffee crème brûlée and rhubarb pannacotta looked insanely delish. Feeling seriously stuffed and all caught up on the exciting goings on of successful friends, we relaxed to the sounds of resident pianist Xavier. As an acoustic version of Britney Spears’ Hit Me Baby One More Time both intrigued and entertained… we began our farewells and turned our attention to the goodie bags by our seat.
With hugs all round and smiles on faces, we left the event feeling inspired by Primark’s latest picks, and excited to refresh our interiors. The night was a real success (and rather tasty too), it proved the perfect place to catch up with old friends and get to know new ones. A sincere thanks to Primark for a wonderful evening, make sure to look out for Hazy Havana hitting stores next month!
