That festival feeling?
As the sunshine keeps warming our surroundings, our feel good spirit is at an all-time high. Golden hour has us photographing those #nofilter sunsets on the daily, while late night ice cream satisfies our post-work itinerary: it’s official - summer has settled in comfortably. So with a ‘chilled’ playlist soothing our senses, ice cold coffee brewing, and fresh fruit chopped for a back-garden picnic, it’s time to update our interiors to suit our bohemian lifestyle.
With denim shorts well-worn and our faces weighed down with a serious glitter coating, festival season is in full swing. Throwing it back to those 70s Woodstock vibes, we’re embracing laid-back living more than ever. Like the textures edging our Coachella attire, we’re honing tasselled rugs, fringed cushions and soft suedes for an interior aesthetic that’s heavenly hippy.
Bringing outside living home is the ideal solution to that ‘but how will I live without PLUGS’ question; lack of sleep, no hot shower and a life-long fear of tie dye t-shirts are of no concern when infusing boho chic via your furniture finishes instead of attending a real deal event. Hang a hammock in the garden and layer with textured cushions in dusky shades of lilac, pink and blue, then think tent-like with a living room lounge area (throws upon throws, and even more soft suede cushions – dreamy).
That campfire lounging lifestyle, with twinkling stars included, is brought to reality with Primark mugs, faux plants and dreamy tea lights. An evening picnic is always a good idea, so bring your indoor accessories out to show off to all friends. Retreat from an evening of marshmallow roasting, and music blasting to your boho bedroom and bask in its romantic pink colour palette (our favourite hue of 2017).
So in case you’re yet to bag a ticket to your favourite fest, or if four days of dry shampooing is too much to bear, then why not bring those festival feels to your own home? With dreamy accessories and a comfy bed courtesy of Primark, our bedroom is the ultimate venue this summer.
