Tailored tweed: LCM
It’s that time of year again and the menswear fashion weeks are in full swing. Kicking off with London Collections, we saw some of the best dressed men in town take to the streets to show off their formal favourites. So lets take some tips from the boys who know best and get suited and booted for the new season.
Ubiquitous tweed shows no signs of slowing down for men’s formalwear, but we saw it get a colour update on the streets, as sky blue shades come into play, bringing with it a younger and fresher aesthetic – a look that was favoured at London Collections.
These new blues sat perfectly with light grey, which appeared as a new colour combination for sartorial layering. The casual dresser introduced grey denim jeans to mix it up and update their daytime tailored look, topping it with a shirt, tie and blazer combo.
Noisy salt and pepper tweeds, oversized herringbones and new colourways offer something for the fashion forward customer, while classic earthy tones and slate grey continue to be the go-to shades across the board. The waistcoat appears to have regained its position as a formalwear staple, with silks scarves, briefcase clutch bags and trilbies adding the perfect finish touches to this look.
