4 Ways To Layer In AW17
Written by Ryan Cahill
The colder seasons are fast approaching, so we’re pinpointing 4 ways that layering will change your autumn/winter for the better.
Pretty much essential throughout the colder autumn/winter seasons, layering is one of those rare style concepts that unites practicality with stylishness. Throwback to last year, remember those grim, dark mornings on your commute into work, and nights spent shivering on the way home? Wet and windy dark days can be bettered by layering our indigo denim jacket over a simple hoodie —a sweet and simple way of ensuring that you look good, while staying warm.

Layering up is the perfect way to ensure you’re keeping things fresh. By teaming one of our tees with an over-shirt and jacket, you’ve got three different outfits to be utilised at any point, making certain that regardless of the mood, you’re ready. For example, ditch the jacket and keep things smart casual in one of our lumberjack style shirts, or opt to lose the shirt to reveal one our basic tees to strip things back and look cool and casual.

If you’re anything like us, you’ve got those firm faves that you always want to wear when you open the wardrobe. In a similar way, when you buy some new garms, you want to wear them straight away and all at once. Well, now you’ve got the chance to wear all your staple pieces at the same time. For us, it’s a chance to team our classic crew neck sweater with some of our favourite tees, finished off with the burnt orange beanie to give a burst of colour.
A bit outside the box, but if you’re spending your A/W on the dating scene, layering is a surprising tool in gaining you some brownie points with your date. Whether you’re caught in the rain on the way to the restaurant or snapped up in a snow storm while heading to the cinema (and lets face it, it’s probable!), you know you’ve got your jacket to offer up in an emergency. Three ticks for gentlemanly manners.
Alternatively, if you’re the sort of person that has a tendency of spilling food or drink down yourself — that extra jacket/jumper you’ve layered with is sure to come in handy, and what better to reason to consider layering this A/W period?
