Glastonbury Survival Kit
It’s that time of year again and the festival schedule is about to get off to a raucous start with Glastonbury opening its gates once again from the 24th to 28th June. Thousands of revellers, hundreds of acts, outfits for five days, and only one bag – the question is, what are you going to pack into yours?
If you’re unsure of what to take with you this year or if you’re a Glastonbury virgin, then Primark has got your covered and is the perfect one-stop-shop pre Glastonbury. Here are the essentials to make sure the only thing you need to worry about this festival season is being at the right stage at the right time.
Every girl wants to remain looking and feeling fresh despite the lack of showers and hair straighteners so it’s vital to go prepared. We recommend taking body wipes and dry shampoo for a fuss-free spruce up each morning, along with your favourite mini deodorant and Primark’s fragrance ‘Flora Exotica’ to keep you smelling and feeling fresh all day long. Why not get your hair braided before you go for festival perfect hair that can be taken out and worn in waves for day three and four.
You want to make getting ready each morning as quick and easy as possible so that no partying time is wasted. Even if you’re not feeling fresh you can always fake it with some false lashes to create that open-eyed appearance and why not experiment with some spray-on hair chalk to get in the hippy mood. To finish simply throw on a colourful floral headband and your sunnies and you’re good to go.
You’re going to be away from your tent all day so while you’re on-the-go make sure you always carry your hand sanitiser and of course the ever important tinted lip-balm to minimise chapped lips and add a hint of colour.
And the next big question is – what are you going to wear? Plan each day’s outfit before you go and mix and match to keep packing down to a minimum, thus also making getting ready each morning a breeze. Why not take some style inspiration from the biggest revellers of them all – the celebrity crowd - and pack accordingly.
Whether you take style tips from Millie Mackintosh, Poppy Delevingne or Cressida Bonas it’s sure to say that denim shorts and wellies go a long way. And in keeping with this summer’s 70s trend an off-the-shoulder top is a must-have and is a perfect layering item too. For those utility lovers among you, why not throw on a pair of short dungarees, white canvas lace ups, a floral headband and tortoise aviators – keeping you comfy all day and very much looking the part.
Its also good to pack for sunshine so throw a handkerchief hem skirt in there and some gladiator sandals too because you just might get lucky and have a day off wearing your wellies!
All Primark outfits are under £50 and Survival Kit essentials start at £1
For the colder evenings pack a couple of lightweight blanket capes to cover up without ruining your style credentials and make sure your handbag sits across the body or on your back so everything you need is in one place and is kept nice and secure.
So whether it’s Glastonbury you’re heading off to or somewhere further a field to get your hit of the festival scene this summer make sure you’re fully prepped. Why not upload your favourite Primark festival looks to Primania when you get back – we’d love to see them!
