4 New Fitness Trends To Try

If like us, your new year’s resolution to reboot your fitness regime is just not happening, we’ve got an action packed dose of inspiration to finally get your blood pumping. Every year new fitness trends emerge that promise big results, and so here’s what you can expect for 2016.

The good news is, we've done all the hard work for you. Over the past few weeks we've been pushing ourselves to the limit trialling the latest fitness trends, including R’n’B Yoga, Power Ballet, Rumble, and TRX & Boxing interval training. In line with our new Workout launch, our press teams around the globe have hosted a series of events to test out the collection's key pieces to make sure they’re up to the task at hand. And believe us they are; our sculpting leggings, crop tops and matching co-ords sets will ensure you’re looking and feeling good to go, and perform at your optimum at each class you attend.

R'n'B Yoga



It’s all in the name – yes you guessed it, this is your favourite Yoga practice performed to the sound of smooth RnB music. Ah-mazing right? All the asanas (positions) are exactly the same, however the flowing movement goes in time with the beat, which makes for a more fluid and energetic session. We’d suggest our crop top and bottom co-ords for this one – this outfit will easily enable you to channel your inner RnB/ J-Lo cool. The style was born in Australia but has quickly moved over to Europe via the US and is being tipped by Yoga gurus as one of the top workout trends to watch for 2016. This is due to the harmonious balance of dynamic exercise, relaxation and fun. Where do we sign up?

Power Ballet



Think of Power Ballet as ballet but in fifth gear. Also known as cardio ballet, in a short but sweet hour you perform easy-to-learn, elegant positions to fast-paced music. Considered a cardio class, it’ll help you tone up and lose weight, while being thoroughly entertaining at the same time. Once you’ve warmed up and gone from first through to fifth, and then back again, there’s also a chance to show off your best Darcy Bussell impersonation in a group routine. Now for this class it’s all about class – wear our prettiest pair of capri leggings with pink trims and our supportive pink bra top. All those lessons your mum sent you to when you were a little’un are about to pay off. 


TRX & Boxing Combo



Cardio and core are the focus of this class and with the new fitness sensation TRX being thrown into the mix this is an essential workout trend to try out this year. These classes show results quickly as it’s a full body workout that includes boxing, cardio and TRX training. Inn this class an experienced trainer guides you through (a pretty intense) hour of calorie-burning moves, but don’t worry, the sessions are customised to the fitness levels of each group. Also your individual results are continually measured and monitored to give you the boost you need to make this a regular thing. Our breathable fabric items, which include the majority of our tops, are just what you need for these classes. May we suggest the Rocky theme tune as motivation for this one?

Rumble



Dubbed ‘boutique boxing,’ Rumble is all about letting off steam. 45 non-stop minutes are filled with punching and kicking away at your very own punch bag with moves that are great for the core. It’s another full body workout but this time there are no weights so you can challenge your body in a completely different way. The lights are dimmed and music is played loud so you can really lose yourself, and the best bit? You get two minutes at the end of the class to just go crazy and let out whatever you want on the bag. Poor bag! For this class, we’d advise comfort so you’re free to be as wild as you want. Go for our loose-fit tank tops and comfy (yet stylish of course) trainers. 

With all these fitness trends on offer this year, you’ll never have to hit the treadmill again! Now you really can breathe a sigh of relief. Grab your best buddy and try them out at a gym near you!
