Style Hack: 1 Dress, 3 Ways
Is it underwear? Is it outerwear? And does it matter?! The slip dress is back, and it’s beautiful! The 90s trend has just hit the catwalks for another season, and we are brimming with styling ideas for this must-have. The slip dress is lightweight and super-versatile, and Emma, one of our lovely womenswear designers, has three ways to totally rock this look…
Emma’s style is effortlessly cool with an athleisure twist, so she instinctively knew how to work the slip to for officewear, a daytime #OOTD, and an evening do. At a jaw-dropping £8/€11, with unyielding versatility, we need this khaki slip in our wardrobes, like, now!
For work, one word: layering. The way you combine and build up this look is key. Emma says: ‘Smartening up the slip dress for the office is easy - just layer a crisp white shirt underneath, and pair with our trophy jacket to complete the look’. We love this neutral scheme, and that handy oversized bag? Straight on the work-bag wishlist!
Suede T-Shirt £6/€8
For day wear, Emma says: ‘Keep it casual for the day by layering the slip dress over a contrast tee, pairing with trainers, a sporty back pack, and sunglasses for a stylish and summery look.’ Easy to move in and of course super-comfortable, the slip is the ideal day dress! And topping off the look with cute trainers or slip-ons keeps it casual.
Bomber Jacket £15/€20
For evening wear, Emma says: ‘Go for it, because this dress makes a statement all by itself. All you need is some cute heels, topped off with a clutch. Throw on the key fashion jacket of the season, the bomber, in case of a chilly summer night!’ This is low-key glam at its finest!
All finished! Three unique looks with one essential item. Now get out there and get styling, because we can’t wait to see your amazing style on #PRIMANIA.
