Primark joins Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Make Fashion Circular initiative

16 May 2018

Primark has become a Participant in the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Make Fashion Circular initiative, which is aiming to radically redesign the fashion industry by creating a circular economy for fashion around the world. This represents one part of Primark’s environmental sustainability programme which it is undertaking to reduce its impact on the environment.

Primark, as one of 16 Participants, will be joining the Make Fashion Circular Core Partners, Burberry Group plc, Gap Inc., H&M, HSBC, NIKE Inc. and Stella McCartney to make the circular economy for fashion a reality. As a Participant, Primark will unite behind the three key principles of the initiative: business models that keep clothes in use; materials that are renewable and safe; and solutions that turn used clothes into new clothes.

Further information about the initiative, can be found here.
