What are perfume notes?

Fragrances are created with top, medium and base notes. The top notes are the first scent you smell when it’s sprayed, this lasts for around 10-15 minutes. The middle notes (also known as the heart) develop as the top notes fade. Finally, the base notes come forward. These tend to last the longest and linger on the skin as the fragrance dries down.
