The key 2025 color trends you should know
Self-confessed color convert? Prefer one big pop of color? Either way, these are the shades that are set to be popular in 2025.
A new year means new colors, carefully curated from catwalks, social media, decor trends and more to make up 2025’s key color trends. It's the current cultural landscape that shapes which colors we’ll be coveting — but it’s up to you to decide how, when and where you weave them into your everyday style. Keep scrolling for our color-specific product edits and favorite ways to wear them.
Cotton Candy Pink
There have been lots of versions of pink the past few years, but 2025 is all about cotton candy and bubblegum pink. A softer, powdery version of Barbiecore, this pink is perfect for neutral fans who want to add a new color to their looks without it looking out of place. Keep the ballet-inspired feel with clothes and accessories featuring bows and ribbons to really nail that hyper-feminine vibe. Or test the waters with knitwear, leisurewear and even swimwear.
Blue Hues
There’s no need to feel blue in 2025 — just wear it instead. Turquoise, sky, and icy blue are all major contenders for your precious closet space this year. Classic pieces like jeans and dressy shirts are no-fail ways to wear it. But don’t be afraid to go for subtle icy blue or a turquoise stunner for swimwear, activewear, dresses and accessories. There’s a blue hue out there for everyone...
Mocha Mousse and Chocolate Brown
For some, brown is a key color every year. Associated with decadence and sophistication, it’s not hard to see why it’s always a firm fave. The Pantone Color Institute named Mocha Mousse as its 2025 Pantone Of The Year. And while we love this lighter brown shade, we think its deeper, chocolate brown cousin's here to stay, too. A softer alternative to black while still providing contrast and definition, brown works a treat with your cream and beige pieces to nail a tonal look. Or add leopard print and suede for print and texture.
Ready for red?
Way past Christmas, we’ll be lusting after red. Like pink, there are varying versions for 2025: especially tomato and cardinal red. Both are strong vibrant shades that steer away from the deep, rich burgundy we loved in 2024 — cardinal red having more of an orange tone. However: like with lipstick or getting your color analysis done, there's a shade of red for every skin tone. February's a great time to shop for red clothes and accessories, so head in store and see for yourself...
Team Green
Brat was Collins Dictionary’s 2024 Word Of the Year, thanks to the hot album. Synonymous with brat (and again thanks to the album) was "brat green", a seriously bold neon. This year? We’re turning down the brights. On one end of the scale sits seafoam green, a muted, ethereal shade. In the middle is frog green (like brat green but less neon). And lastly, chartreuse, a yellow-green mix — it’s up to you whether you go for deep chartreuse pieces or lighter jewel tones.
