Denim trends for 2026
The lines between classic denim and fashion trends are blurring. Here are our favorite ways to reinvent your denim looks.
Denim is a forever staple. Timeless, ageless, seasonless, it ticks all the boxes. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be reworked. The constant trend cycle, coupled with the simplicity of denim, offers the chance to shop fashion-forward denim pieces that feel refreshingly new, yet wearable. Keep scrolling for the key denim trends you should know for 2026 and how to weave them into your existing wardrobe.
Denim on Denim
Our relationship with double denim is perhaps the most evolved when it comes to embracing denim trends. Effortlessly cool and carefree in the ‘70s, a style statement in the ‘90s, now it’s firmly back and better than ever. A waistcoat and jeans combo is one of the easiest ways to lean into it, offering a simple, stylish way to wear double denim that’s office and weekend-appropriate. Made using a minimum of 20% Recover™ recycled cotton and cotton from the Primark Cotton Project, pair our circular denim pieces with boho accessories like ballet flats, a neckerchief and a suede bag for a nostalgic nod to double denim’s origins.
Daring denim
Silhouettes play a big part in elevating your denim credentials, and branching into new territory with denim shorts and denim dresses is a great way to make your rotation more versatile. There’s always room for a classic denim short, but recently it’s all about exaggerated cuts. Micro shorts were, and continue to be, a crowd favorite for the summer season, but we think a longer, Bermuda-style denim short is set to become the new it piece. Use them to dress down tailored pieces like our Cinched Balloon Sleeve Blazer or style them casually with a T-shirt, sandals and oversized sunglasses.
When it comes to denim dresses, we love a dramatic sleeve. The puff sleeve of our denim mini dress takes cues from Scandi dressing, while the indigo wash makes it feel polished and wearable for day-to-day.
Jeans & a nice top reimagined
Ingrained in us as the go-to for last-minute outfit panics, we’re keeping the jeans and a nice top formula, but showing you how to take it to the next level. Fundamentally, it’s all about layering and exaggerated details. Polished, proportional jean and top combinations have their place (case in point: our ruffled blouse and front-pocket wide-leg jeans), but wearing loose, longline tops with baggy denim, or mixing androgynous, heritage-inspired jackets with uber-feminine trims are bold ways to reinvent the blueprint.
