Ahead of this year’s Soccer Aid match in partnership with UNICEF, we caught up with World XI striker, Kem Cetinay as we tasked him with the job of picking and designing the suits for all of the players and staff as they arrive at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Saturday 4th September.

The final two suits needed to work together but also have versatility within the options to allow for the wide range of players and preferences on both teams.

Kem explained; "They are matching patterns, but in different colours and they both come with a zip up jacket for a more casual option, but also obviously we have the matching suit jacket as well, so it gives the players and staff a chance to pick whether they want to go smart or causal."

Dipping his toes into the realm of womenswear, Kem also selected a blouse option to wear underneath the suits, which will be tailored to fit the female participants.

"I’ve chosen a very classy, elegant, blouse for the ladies as well, which I hope they’ll like."

As the self-proclaimed ‘clinical striker’ for the World XI, Kem Cetinay called upon footballing legend and England’s goalkeeper in the Soccer Aid clash, David James, to decide which team would wear what suit from his Primark X Soccer Aid selections.

After a tense decider of rock, paper, scissors, Kem came out victorious therefore meaning that the World XI will be wearing our classic navy herringbone suit or matching smart bomber jacket, with either a premium white shirt or cowl neck blouse, finished off with a tie.

Meanwhile, the England XI will arrive in our luxe grey check suit or smart bomber jacket with the same white shirt/blouse options but completed with a black tie.

You can get the look in store from later this month, including two nostalgic Soccer Aid tees featuring football legends Gazza and Maradona. We’ll be donating 50% of the proceeds from both t-shirts directly to Soccer Aid plus you’ll get the chance to donate to the cause at our tillpoints.

Tune into ITV or STV on Saturday 4th September to see how the game plays out!
