Linen is that rare combo of style and comfort that’s especially important when your body is changing, and you still want to show up feeling confident.
The linen sets from Primark truly feel like an extension of my mood — fresh, elevated, and full of light. The cream linen co-ord caught my eye instantly because it’s simple, clean, and timeless, but still gives that effortless edge. The second look was a crisp white linen top paired with bold orange linen trousers. The colour combo felt joyful and confident, and the relaxed tailoring made it such an easy statement set to wear.
What occasion have you chosen for your two-piece linen set?
I wore the cream co-ord for a relaxed daytime event. It gave me that ‘put together without trying too hard’ feeling.
The orange and white combo was for a lunch date and a little shoot afterwards. As someone who’s pregnant right now, comfort is non-negotiable. But I still want to feel like me, and both looks gave me that balance. They felt breathable, flattering and made me feel genuinely beautiful in my growing body.
What size did you select for the matching sets? How does it fit?
I went with a size UK12 in both outfits, and they fit comfortably as I wanted a baggy look.
The linen co-ord has a soft, relaxed cut that moves beautifully, which is a dream when you’re pregnant and everything is shifting. The linen trousers are high-waisted with a loose-fitting leg, but I wore them low so they’re super forgiving and stylish at the same time. Pregnancy or not, I want to feel good in what I wear, and these linen matching sets made me feel like myself again.
Would you size up or down in linen?
I’d say stay true to size for a relaxed fit, but if you prefer more room around the waist or tummy, sizing up could work too.
What to wear with linen trousers?
For the cream co-ord, I kept things simple: a neutral bag, some brown clogs, and brown tinted sunglasses with gold to give it that stylish pop. With the orange trousers and white top, I let the trousers do all the talking and balanced it out with a pair of sandals and a brown bag. Both outfits are so versatile, I could easily rework them with heels or trainers.
What is it about linen two-piece sets that you love?
Linen has always been a favourite of mine, but during pregnancy it’s become essential. It’s breathable, soft on the skin, and moves with me, not against me. I love how it keeps me cool but still looks polished. And the best part? It just gets better with time, so I know I’ll be living in these pieces long after baby arrives.

What did you like about the linen waistcoat and trousers?
Linen is a staple must-have material in my capsule wardrobe for spring/summer, especially in trousers, so that was the first thing that caught my eye! When I saw that they came with a matching waistcoat, I was SOLD. I could already tell the tailoring of the waistcoat was going to be a gorgeous, flattering fit even on the hanger! A co-ord for me makes styling simple, because the base of your outfit is already completed. You just have to plan the accessories!
What is the quality like for the linen co-ord pieces?
The quality of the items I selected was also a huge factor in what caught my eye! The material and shape look so high-end and expensive, but they were so reasonably priced! Each piece is versatile and can be worn separately, allowing your cost per wear to be minimal, and I was excited thinking of all the ways I could style both pieces through the seasons!
What occasion have you chosen the linen co-ords for and why?
The look I have styled today is more of an everyday casual vibe, but what’s great with these pieces is that they aren’t closed off to a singular occasion or style. Their versatility allows you to dress them up or down, whether that’s to the office or out with the girls. But then you can also wear them separately and tailor them to your individual style. When wearing this outfit, I feel chic and expensive, but most importantly, comfortable.
What size did you select for the linen trousers and waistcoat?
For sizing, I chose a size XS for the waistcoat and S for the trousers.
How does the matching set fit?
The waistcoat fit is more on the slim line, tailored side, which gives a beautiful and flattering fit. I could have also got away with a small as the extra-small is slightly on the snug side for me.
For the trousers, I went with a size small, and I am normally a size UK 6-8 in Primark. They were slightly loose on me, but the trousers do come with belt loops so you can adjust the fit using a belt.
What advice would you give other customers on the two-piece set size and fit?
For the linen waistcoat, if you are in between sizes or have a larger bust, I would recommend sizing up. If you have the option to try on in person, I would advise doing so where possible. But if you’re ordering online, go true-to-size based on their size guide and check the size the model wears on the website as a reference.
What to wear with linen co-ord set?
I have styled my chosen outfit with a matching oversized bag for a casual, put-together, spring/summer look. However, as these pieces are extremely versatile, there are countless ways to wear them. The waistcoat, styled with a pair of smart white trousers, would be another way I would wear this outfit, which I think would be ideal for the office.
What shoes to wear with linen trousers?
I have styled with tan sandals. My chosen outfit would also look amazing with heels, to take you from day to night.
