How to Fall Asleep Fast: A Blissful Bedroom

Wondering how to get better sleep? As we spend more and more time indoors stuck to our phones or computer screens, it can be tempting to check emails or social media way beyond our bed time. But if you’re snug as a bug in your bed, you should avoid confusing work time with rest time. So, to stick to a healthy bedtime routine, try and keep your workspace away from your bedroom.

Your bedroom should be your sanctuary, a place for self-care and relaxation filled with comfy bedding and soft pillows. To help you sleep better, wind down by spraying some lavender scent on your pillow, it can help you fall into a slumber super quickly!

Bedtime Routine: Make it Tech Free

One of the first steps in sleep hygiene is to work on your bedtime and morning routine. Waking up too late or going to sleep in the early hours can have an impact on our mental wellbeing. It’s easy to disrupt your sleep quality by taking naps, but you should be mindful of how this might affect your sleep at night.

One of the best-known, yet hardest-to-follow tips on how to fall asleep fast,, is to try and take a break from tech around two hours before bedtime. Need to reply to a text real quick? Then make sure you at least lower the brightness of your screen or put it on night mode. If you struggle to switch off then a warm bath before bed can help your body to unwind. In bed but can’t fall asleep? There are several breathing techniques for sleep you can try, along with plenty of relaxation technique apps and guided meditations.

Morning Routine: Wake Up Refreshed

Better sleep isn’t just about your nighttime routine! Set an alarm and stick to it, that’s right, no hitting snooze! Your body will naturally become tuned to wake at a certain time, making getting out of bed much easier. Open your blinds and curtains to let natural light in and make your bed ready for that evening and remember to make changing out of your pjs a part of your morning routine!

Try and give yourself a small amount of free time each morning to focus on your self-care: do a short at-home workout or meditation routine before a fulfilling breakfast.
