The key 2025 colour trends you should know
Self-confessed colour convert? Prefer a pop of colour? Either way, these are the shades that are set to be popular in 2025.
A new year means a new selection of colours that have been carefully curated from catwalks, social media, décor trends and more, to make up 2025’s key colour trends. While the current cultural landscape has helped shaped which colours we’re set to be coveting, it’s down to you to decide how, when and where you weave these into your everyday. Keep scrolling for our colour specific product edits and favourite ways to wear!
Candyfloss pink
There have been many iterations of pink in recent years, but 2025 is championing ‘candyfloss’ or ‘bubblegum’ pink. A softer, powdery version of its Barbiecore predecessor, this hue is perfect for those that love a neutral but want to add a new colour into their rotation without it looking out of place. Keep the ballet-inspired aesthetic and opt for clothing and accessories that feature bows and ribbons to really nail that hyper-feminine vibe. Or test the waters through knitwear, leisurewear and even swimwear.
Blue hues
There’s no need to feel blue for 2025 — wear it instead! Turquoise, sky blue and icy blue are all major contenders for your precious wardrobe space in 2025. Classic pieces like denim and smart shirts are fail-safe ways to wear the shade, but don’t be afraid to opt for subtle icy blue or striking turquoise pieces when shopping for swimwear, activewear, dresses and accessories too! There’s a blue hue to suit everyone!
Mocha Mousse & chocolate brown
For some, brown is a key colour every year. Associated with decadence and sophistication, it’s not hard to see why it’s always a firm favourite. The Pantone Colour Institute named ‘Mocha Mousse’ as it’s 2025 Pantone Of The Year and while we love this lighter brown shade, we think its deeper, chocolate brown counterpart is here to stay too. Offering a softer alternative to black while still providing contrast and definition, wear brown with cream and beige pieces in your rotation to nail a tonal combination or look to leopard print and suede to add print and texture.
Ready for red?
Christmas may be over but we’re still lusting after red for 2025. Like pink, there are varying popular iterations for 2025, most notably tomato red and cardinal red. Both are striking vibrant shades that steer away from the deep, rich burgundy hue we loved in 2024 — the latter more of an orange-toned red. However, like shopping for lipstick or getting your colour analysis done, there is a shade of red for every skin tone. February is a great time to shop for red clothing and accessories, so head in store and see for yourself!
Team green
‘Brat’ was Collins Dictionary’s Word Of the Year for 2024 thanks to it being the title of a popular album released in the same year. Synonymous with ‘brat’ (and again thanks to the album) was ‘brat green’ a striking, neon green shade. This year? We’re turning down the vibrancy. On one end of the scale sits ‘seafoam green’ a muted, ethereal shade. In the middle, ‘frog green’ (like ‘brat green’ but less neon!) And finally chartreuse, a yellow-green mix — for this variation it’s up to you whether you go for deep chartreuse pieces or lighter jewel tones.
