At-Home Beauty Treatment Tips

Time For A Trim?

If you need a trim or fancy a whole new post-isolation style, it’s probably best to wait ‘til you can re-visit the hairdressers. However, in the meantime you can focus on taking the best care of your tresses so your locks are in optimum condition. Indulge in nourishing hair masks and hair oils, especially if you’d usually be in a hurry to wash them off before their advised time frame. A grown out fringe can be irritating but instead of reaching for the scissor consider trying new clips and slides, hair accessories are huge, and the trend won’t be going anywhere next season!

Cover Up Roots

No one pre-planned for this isolation period so it’s no doubt that some of us were overdue a hair colour appointment. You could choose to embrace an ombre colour effect but if you can’t stand visible roots then watch our handy tutorial video for tips on giving yourself an at home root touch-up.

At Home Manicures

If you’re working from home then unsightly talons are unmissable as you type away but fortunately, nails are easily fixed. A simple at home manicure is a quick solution. A nail file and cuticle stick are essential, file your nails into a suitable shape and soak your hands in warm water before gently pushing your cuticles back. Then take a polish in your current fave colour and paint away. Now is the perfect time to try a colour you’d usually shy away from, and if work doesn’t usually allow for a bright shade then use this time to experiment.

It’s important to set realistic expectations for at-home treatments, your manicurist has had years of training that you haven’t so don’t be surprised when you don’t quite get the same results!
